SAT 8-27 COXEN AND JOHNSON SKETCH COMEDY SHOW Comedy fans know that you can't swing a cat in this town without hitting an improv or stand-up show, but where are all the sketch comedy shows hiding? It appears they've migrated to Somerville for the summer, or at least for the weekend. Local comedians Chris Coxen and Nate Johnson create slightly surreal characters in their sketch comedy shows, such as the Mexican boy who shares his wisdom by whispering to animals. On Saturday they perform these skits at Jimmy Tingle's Off Broadway Theater, with opening sets by Dan Sally and the Walsh Brothers. Tickets are $12, $6 with student ID. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Jimmy Tingle.
